What counts as a “request”?
A question from the early days of Mindverse — and the perfect occasion to explain how today’s credit system in Mindverse Studio works.

The short answer
In the past, each text generation was usually counted as one request. Today, Mindverse Studio meters usage transparently in credits: every plan includes a monthly credit allowance per user that you can spend flexibly on chat, assistants, images, workflows and all other modules.

Why credits are fairer than requests
The old request model dates back to a time when Mindverse mainly generated text. Today, Mindverse Studio is a complete AI ecosystem: you chat with multiple models, generate images and videos, transcribe meetings and let agents handle multi-step tasks. These tasks differ in how compute-intensive they are — a short chat costs less than a video generation. Credits reflect that honestly instead of treating everything the same.
The original principle still holds, though: we never bill per word or character, and consumption is always visible before you start a task. More capable model tiers — Standard, Advanced, Expert and Sovereign — consume correspondingly more credits.
How many credits do I need?
To get started, the 200 credits of the free trial are plenty to explore Mindverse Studio in depth — see “Can I try Mindverse beforehand?”. In day-to-day use, your needs depend on your use cases: teams that mainly create content often do fine with Starter, while teams working daily with knowledge bases and automation choose Pro or Team. If you ever run out of credits, you can top up with flexible credit packs — no plan change required.
